Veracruz, April 4, 2011 .- The Port of Veracruz  Administration the  MSC Maeva arrives to the  Port of Veracruz, the biggest ship ever in  the port history.

Almost 07:00 P.M. SundayApril 3rd, arrived to the  Specialized Container Terminal ICAVE  a  325 meterslong  and  42.8 meterswide vessel.  Its   departure was scheduled for Monday, April 4tm in the afternoon.

The vessel was operated by the Mediterranean Shiping Company (MSC) and has a capacity to carry up to 8 thousand  containers; its came from Freeport in the Bahamas and will follow,  after  Veracruz a rout through  the United States and later  Belgium, Germany, England and France.

The MSC  Maeva arrival is due the port infrastructure modernization wit him the docks and dredging in order  to allow latest  generation vessels arrivals.

Before the MSC Maeva, the biggest vessels that have arrived to the Port of Veracruz were: MSC Estela,  MSC Barbara and MSC  Micaela, with a length of  304 meters each for that reason  the  MSC Maeva  "represents a great  success for the port operations "
