Starts operating the light mouse in Sacrificios Island with solar energy PDF Print E-mail

Veracruz, June 6th , 2011.- As part of all the activities to counter the global warming, the Veracruz Port Administration  began operating a solar power generator in order to have  enough energy for the light mouse in the Sacrificios Island and also environment training center was inaugurated at the UMA “Miguel Angel de Quevedo”.

The energy reconfiguration for the light mouse will allow to save 600 liters of diesel per month and will stop the release of 187 000 kg. of Carbon Dioxide pear year; it is to say that the CO2 is one of many elements that increase the global warning.

Juan Ignacio Fernandez, General Director of APIVER, said to all the media that the photovoltaic powers  generators  work whit 120 solar panels and each one has a potential of 250 watts, the whole system was design to  endure winds above 200 km/h pear hour.

In charge of this facilities is the CEPEVER company, this company operates with a 100 % technicians graduated from the ITV; this project was validated by the energy investigation center from the UNAM.
