Veracruz, Ver., August 25 th, 2011.- As part of the environmental improvement and the friendly  operation processes towards the environment, the Port of Veracruz  Administration  inaugurated, the use of biodiesel  as fuel for the ecological sweepers, garbage  collector  equipment, dredging and cleaning inside the port.

In an interview, the Port of Veracruz General Director, Juan Ignacio Fernandez, said that is and effort to use cleaner fuels to replace conventional contaminants energies.

Representatives from port companies and the Universidad Veracruzana participated in the event, were the first biodiesel litters were supplied to there sweepers, a dredging truck, to garbage collectors trucks and a backhoe, equipment from Sweep Barrrido Mecanico ,company who is in charge of the port cleaning.
